Victims' campaigner Willie Frazer and other victims of republican violence were due to stage a silent protest at Derry's Guildhall last night against a dance commemorating dead IRA members.
The event had been organised by the Derry Volunteers Commemorative Committee.

Mr Frazer, who spearheads the organisation Families Acting for Innocent Relatives (FAIR), said he has been contacted by victims of IRA violence in the city who wished to register their disgust at the event.

“This event is glorifying the murder of loved ones and there is no call for them to be doing this,” he said.
