Derry man, Paddy McCourt has withdrawn from the Northern Ireland squad due to face Poland and Slovenia at Windsor Park.
The former Derry City winger will miss both games scheduled for March 28 and April 1 because of a hamstring and back injury.

McCourt made an appearance for Nigel Worthington’s team when he came on as a late substitute during the team’s 3-0 away win against San Marino last month.

McCourt won his first cap for Northern Ireland in 2002 before going on to spend time with Dublin side Shamrock Rovers and Derry City.

The 25-year-old spent three seasons at Brandywell before the club agreed an undisclosed fee with Celtic in June 2008. McCourt made his debut for the Bhoys in the 4-2 win over Hibernian in October last year.
